Frequency
Frequency is a series of paintings by Nick Pont that invite the ocean and its whims to canvas and paper. Moody light and atmospheric qualities captured in washes of colour and texture. Through watercolours and oils, the paintings recall an ephemeral moment, a memory, a feeling of being immersed in the ocean. Using colours and moods intuitively, influenced by the psychological impact of the environment, the rhythms of the ocean are the frequency.
